Our Elections Volunteers are 🔥 🔥 🔥

As election day nears, let’s take a moment to breathe and appreciate what it looks and feels like to be a part of a people-powered campaign to ensure a great school board for our kids.

For the last 6 weeks, our incredible community has been knocking on doors, writing postcards and making calls to elect Dr. Gary Yee for School Board in District 4. It means getting to laugh and walk and eat and share and have deep conversations about education with people from across Oakland. Connecting with community is joyful and lends real perspective into what it means to live here.

And the best part is that it is easy to advocate for a candidate you believe in like Gary Yee, an extremely strong, experienced, life-long Oaklander. Since he is a former teacher, principal, former superintendent and school board member who helped create funds for college and career programs across the city and has proven track record for helping us balance our budget, it is not hard to make the case for why we need him on the school board.

Getting the chance to talk to people about their beliefs, seeing into their lives, looking at all the interesting names and all the ages of voters across neighborhood…and then you get to talk about Gary! Tuesday, October 30th at 5:30pm
Monday, November 5th at 5:30pm
Election Day: Tuesday, November 6th – shifts from 7am – 7pm

Find Out Which Voters You Know in District 4

One of the most effective ways to influence voters is for them to hear from their friends who are supporting a candidate. We are using a system that allows you to figure out which of your email contacts are officially registered to vote in District 4 and pick which of them you’d like to send an email to about how you’re supporting Dr. Gary Yee.
