Nima believes that the educators and school leaders in our school system experience what is working and what needs to improve in schools on a daily basis. He believes that if we develop opportunities for our highest performing staff to develop an advocacy voice that our entire system will benefit and learn how to improve.
Why public education?
My family moved to America from Iran when I was 2 years old and I remember always hearing that America was the land of opportunity. When I became at teacher in a low-income community and reflected on my own education growing up, I quickly learned that all educational opportunities across our country are not created equal. I believe all children should have the opportunity to attain an excellent education.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
What are your vices?
